Trans Mountain seeks a Senior Estimator/Cost Engineer for sustaining capital projects within the Major Projects Office. Reporting to Lead, Estimating, this contractor develops Class 5 through Class 3 estimates. The work uses benchmarking, project controls, cost models, and industry practices to support active projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare estimate plans and develop Class 5 through Class 3 estimatesValidate scope with project managers and project teamsParticipate in estimate reviews and validation sessionsProvide cost data for decisions and project planningCoordinate QRA, contingency,
and Gate Review deliverablesRequirements:
Post-secondary education in engineering, project management, business, or related fieldEight-plus years estimating or cost engineering pipeline experienceKnowledge of project controls, cost management, risk, and change managementProficiency developing cost models and estimate workbooksKnowledge of AACE classifications and Stage Gate practicesApply estimating, project-controls knowledge, and cost engineering expertise to sustaining capital projects at Trans Mountain.
