Chris’ Place is a growing psychology and counselling clinic in Edmonton, offering individual, couples, family, and group counselling, as well as workplace mental health workshops.

Our services are open to everyone, with a particular focus on men's mental health, including those working in trades, construction, industrial, and oilfield industries.

We are currently looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Counsellor to join our team and provide in-person individual and group counselling sessions.

We are seeking someone who is comfortable working independently, enjoys connecting with clients, and is interested in growing alongside a developing clinic.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional, evidence-informed individual counselling sessions.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate in-person group counselling sessions.
- Support clients with concerns such as stress, anger, anxiety, relationships, emotional regulation, and life transitions.
- Create a welcoming, respectful, and confidential environment for clients.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with clinic management on scheduling, group programming, and client services.
- Follow professional ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

- Recognized professional certification or registration in counselling or clinical social work, such as CCC, RSW, RCSW, or an equivalent appropriate counselling credential.
- Experience providing individual counselling services.
- Ability and willingness to facilitate group counselling sessions.




- Availability to provide in-person services at our Edmonton location.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Solid interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the clinic team.
- Eligibility for third-party insurance reimbursement is preferred.
- Experience supporting men's mental health or working with clients from trades and industrial backgrounds is an asset.

Position Details This is an independent contractor opportunity requiring in-person availability in Edmonton.

We are particularly interested in applicants who can begin soon and are available to facilitate group counselling sessions, including evenings.
