Role Description The Data Cloud DevOps Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support data-driven applications and services. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), managing and automating deployments, monitoring system performance and availability, and troubleshooting production issues across Linux-based environments.

The role involves collaborating with software development teams to integrate DevOps best practices, improve release processes, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable data platforms.



The engineer will also contribute to system administration tasks, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and resilience.

Qualifications

- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, including experience with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Solid Software Development experience with scripting or programming languages commonly used in DevOps (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
- Hands-on Continuous Integration and delivery experience using CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Proficient System Administration capabilities, with deep knowledge of Linux-based environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and managing data and application workloads.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and related ecosystem.
- Understanding of networking, security best practices, and monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Ability to collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience in a production setting is highly beneficial.
