Seeking a kind, caring, and dependable live-in companion for an independent South Asian woman in her 70s living in Mississauga. We are looking for a warm, patient, and responsible individual who enjoys spending time with seniors and would appreciate a peaceful, comfortable home environment. This is primarily a companionship and household assistance role, not a nursing or intensive caregiving position. Our mother is mobile, mentally sharp, and largely independent. We are looking for someone who can provide companionship, help with daily routines, and offer an additional level of support and reassurance. Responsibilities • Provide friendly companionship, conversation, and social interaction. • Enjoy activities together such as watching Indian television shows or movies, playing cards, and spending time at home. • Accompany her to medical appointments, grocery shopping, temple visits, and occasional outings. Transportation will be arranged; no driving required. • Assist with light household duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a clean living environment. • Help with vegetarian Indian meal preparation and kitchen activities. • Assist with checking and recording blood pressure and blood sugar levels (training can be provided). • Help organize medical appointments and daily routines. • Encourage regular, healthy meals and hydration. • Communicate with family members regarding her well-being and any household needs.



Ideal Candidate • Speaks Hindi or Punjabi, with good conversational English for appointments and phone calls. • Familiar with vegetarian Indian cooking and comfortable in a vegetarian household. • Kind, compassionate, patient, and genuinely enjoys the company of seniors. • Responsible, trustworthy, and organized. • Comfortable with a quiet, peaceful home environment. • Non-smoker; no alcohol or recreational drug use in the home. • Previous experience with seniors is an asset but not essential. A caring personality and positive attitude are most important. Living Arrangements & Compensation • Live-in position is mandatory. • Private bedroom provided in a comfortable Mississauga home. • Shared access to bathroom, kitchen, living areas, and laundry facilities. • Meals, Wi-Fi, and cable included. • One day off per week, with working hours and time off to be discussed. • No overnight guests. • Compensation negotiable based on experience and agreed responsibilities, in accordance with applicable employment standards.
