Ultraly is building the infrastructure that turns transaction and customer data into structured, regulator ready reports, validated, transformed, and submitted through an external reporting API, with full audit history preserved along the way.
This service needs to be independently deployable and built to integrate into our main platform through APIs and events over time. It handles sensitive financial and identity data, so security, auditability, and operational reliability are core requirements, not an afterthought.

What you'll be responsible for
Review the supplied requirements and validate the proposed architecture and scopeDesign a secure data model for transactions, parties, accounts, and report contextDesign and document a public REST APIBuild validation and transformation logic against external structured schemasReturn clear, field level errors and remediation guidanceImplement authentication, idempotency, durable job processing, and reconciliation, so network failures never create duplicate filingsPreserve submission history, acknowledgements,



and audit records securelyEnsure sensitive data never appears in application logsProvide automated testing across units, integration, resilience, and securityDeliver deployment, monitoring, and operational documentationComplete a technical handover to our engineering teamRequired experience
Senior level backend engineering experience delivering production APIsStrong REST and OpenAPI design skillsExperience with complex JSON data models and schema validationExperience integrating with token based external APIsStrong knowledge of idempotency, durable jobs, retries, and distributed system failure modesExperience with PostgreSQL or an equivalent transactional databaseExperience with DockerExperience protecting sensitive financial or regulated dataStrong automated testing and documentation practicesPreferred experience
Java and Spring Boot experienceExperience with bulk submission, async processing, and partial batch handlingExperience working alongside compliance officers or legal/domain specialistsBackground in fintech, regtech, or systems handling regulated data
