ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and reliable IT Deployment Technician to support onsite workplace and network infrastructure deployment activities. The role involves the preparation, installation, configuration, relocation, and decommissioning of IT hardware, as well as providing basic technical support to end users during deployment activities. The successful candidate will work closely with deployment teams and remote technical specialists to ensure productive execution of tasks, accurate documentation, and adherence to established deployment procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Workplace Deployment:

- Moving devices from the onsite warehouse to the deployment area, unboxing and preparing them for user collection
- DOA testing
- Device deployment – imaging / re-imaging
- Deployment day user set-up incl. basic support (internet, email, core business apps)
- Collecting / removing legacy equipment and moving it to the onsite secure warehouse
- Issue tracking and handover to the deployment team
- Providing hardware details (serial numbers etc.) and completion confirmation




- IMACD for compute devices: racking, stacking, unpacking/packing, moving servers, switches, firewalls within the same facility
- Basic tools (screwdrivers etc.)

Network Deployment:

- Unpacking, racking and stacking of servers, switches, firewalls, storage
- Physical cabling and patching as instructed
- Labelling, DOA testing and reporting
- Moving equipment to/from storage areas within the same facility
- Hands & eyes only, under remote guidance, following the Network Deployment Guide.

In-scope equipment: laptops, desktops, accessories, monitors/printers, smartphones/tablets, AV / video conferencing devices (with OEM), meeting room equipment (Surface Hubs, Teams Rooms, soundbars), server and network equipment. Looking for technicians in Vancouver, Winnipeg, Quebec, and Laval

Duration varies from site to site. Minimum 2 days to maximum 21 days

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week
