Direct Support Workers provide respectful, person-centered assistance that supports individuals’ daily routines, comfort, and independence. The role may involve caregiving in home care or residential settings, adapting support to each person’s needs and preferences.
Duties
- Assist with daily caregiving, including personal routines and practical support for individuals with disabilities.
- Prepare meals, help maintain clean and comfortable living spaces, and support protected, consistent routines.
- Provide senior care and dementia care with patience, dignity, and attention to individual preferences.
- Follow established care plans for medication administration and communicate relevant observations to colleagues.

Experience Required: Practical caregiving skills, clear communication, patience, and the ability to follow care plans and support daily routines with respect and attention to detail.
Preferred: Assisted living, nursing home, senior care, home care, or dementia care experience;
experience working with individuals with disabilities; and familiarity with medication administration, cleaning, and meal preparation. These strengths help you adapt support to different needs and contribute to a comfortable, dependable care environment.
Pay: From $19.30 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
