Lead operational accounting across multiple sectors with IFRS expertise and strong financial controls in this senior leadership role. Partner closely with Operations.

Reporting to the Vice President, Accounting, the Director oversees accounting integrity across a complex, multi-entity workplace. This position leads close processes, reporting, compliance, controllership, and process improvement. It also develops accounting professionals and supports Operations, Clients, and audit stakeholders while strengthening governance and standardization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop Controllers and Accountants across multiple sectors

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes

Ensure IFRS, policy, and internal control compliance





Review reconciliations and resolve balance sheet issues

Implement standardized processes, automation, and AI-enabled improvements

Requirements

CPA designation or equivalent with strong IFRS knowledge

Progressive accounting or controllership leadership experience

Expertise in reporting, controls, compliance, and risk management

Experience managing and developing accounting professionals

Advanced Excel and financial systems experience; JD Edwards an asset

Bring controllership leadership, IFRS knowledge, and operational accounting expertise to strengthen reporting, governance, and scalable processes.
