We're looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Dishwasher / Café & Kitchen Helper who takes pride in maintaining a spotless environment, supporting daily operations, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that combines dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, dining-area upkeep, and general café support.

What You'll Do

As a Dishwasher / Café & Kitchen Helper, you'll play an essential role in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and operational efficiency throughout OLIVĒTTE.

Your responsibilities include:

Dishwashing & Kitchen Sanitation

- Wash, sanitize, dry, and properly store dishes, cups, glassware, cutlery, trays, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently, following proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
- Continuously monitor dishwashing volume and prioritize items needed for café and kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dishwashing station throughout each shift.
- Ensure clean dishes and utensils are promptly returned to their designated storage and service areas.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, sinks, equipment, floors, and designated workstations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures.

Café Dining Area & Dish Collection
- Regularly circulate throughout the café to collect used dishes, cups, trays, and utensils from vacated tables.
- Continuously monitor the guest dish-return station, promptly collecting returned items and transporting them to the kitchen sanitation area.
- Clear, clean, and sanitize tables promptly after guests leave,



ensuring seating areas are ready for incoming customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining tables, chairs, benches, and surrounding guest areas.
- Monitor the dining area throughout each shift, proactively addressing spills, debris, and cleanliness concerns.
- Ensure dish-return stations remain clean, organized, and free from overflowing dishes or waste.
- Transport used dishes safely and efficiently between the café, dish-return station, and kitchen.
- Maintain a welcoming, tidy, and comfortable dining environment while respecting guests and minimizing service disruptions.

Kitchen & General Operational Support
- Assist bakers, pastry chefs, and kitchen staff with basic food preparation and assigned production tasks.
- Support receiving, unpacking, organizing, and storing ingredients, deliveries, and supplies.
- Replenish cleaning supplies, dishware, and other operational essentials as needed.
- Handle garbage, recycling, and waste disposal according to established procedures.
- Assist with daily opening, closing, and general cleaning duties.
- Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen teams to maintain smooth operations during busy periods.
- Proactively identify areas requiring attention without waiting for instructions.

What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, café, restaurant, or dishwashing position is an asset.
- Experience operating commercial dishwashers and handling cleaning chemicals is preferred.
- Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Training will be provided to candidates demonstrating the right attitude, reliability, and work ethic.

- Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and organization.




- Ability to work efficiently and maintain a consistent pace in a busy environment.
- Proactive approach to monitoring tables, dish-return areas, and kitchen sanitation needs.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities throughout a shift.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain physically active for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, with assistance when required.
- Comfortable working in wet, warm, and rapid-paced kitchen environments.
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning, dishwashing, and lifting tasks.
- Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
