We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and caring Part-Time Dog Daycare & Overnight Attendant to join our team!

This position combines daytime dog daycare supervision and if needed evening and overnight boarding care. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs, enjoys spending time with different breeds and personalities, and takes pride in providing exceptional care.

The ideal candidate is attentive, dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently, particularly during overnight shifts.

This is a part-time opportunity for someone looking for a rewarding role in a dog-focused environment.

Work Schedule & Availability

- Weekday Daycare: Monday to Friday, during daytime operating hours.
- Evening & Overnight Boarding: Shifts beginning after daycare closes at 6:00 PM.
- Weekends: Availability as needed.
- Holidays: Availability as needed.

This position involves a combination of daytime, evening if needed, and overnight shifts if needed. Scheduling will be arranged based on business needs.

Applicants must be comfortable staying overnight in our home-style boarding room alongside the dogs.

Responsibilities

- Dog Daycare Duties

- Supervise and monitor dogs throughout the day to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Provide playtime, exercise, socialization, and enrichment activities.
- Monitor dog behaviour and recognize signs of stress, discomfort, or potential conflicts.
- Intervene appropriately when necessary to maintain a safe environment.
- Provide food, fresh water, and medications according to individual instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary daycare facility.
- Clean up after dogs and regularly sanitize play areas.




- Communicate professionally with dog owners regarding their pets' daily activities, behaviour, and overall well-being.
- Assist with basic administrative duties, including scheduling, answering phone calls, customer service, and processing payments.

2. Overnight Boarding Duties
- Provide care and supervision for boarding dogs after daycare closes (6:00 PM onward).
- Stay overnight in our home-style, family boarding room and sleep alongside the dogs.
- Provide companionship, comfort, and supervision throughout the night.
- Administer evening medications according to instructions.
- Ensure dogs are fed, walked, and have access to fresh water before bedtime.
- Provide morning care, including feeding, walking, and refreshing water.
- Monitor dogs overnight for any changes in health, behaviour, or well-being.
- Respond appropriately to any concerns that may arise during the night.
- Keep the boarding environment clean, comfortable, and safe.
- Clean and reset daycare and boarding areas as needed.
- Report any health, safety, or behavioural concerns to management promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous professional experience working with dogs is preferred.
- Genuine love for animals and a passion for providing excellent pet care.
- Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments.
- Ability to recognize changes in dog behaviour and identify potential health concerns.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working independently, especially during overnight shifts.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and responsible.




- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Team player who is willing to assist wherever needed.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Comfortable with cleaning duties and maintaining a sanitary environment.
- Able to work a combination of daytime, evening, and overnight shifts.
- Must be available on occasional weekends and holidays as required.

Compensation & Additional Pay
- Hourly wage: CA$18.00–CA$20.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
