Location: 970 Verbena Road, Mississauga, ON, L5T 1T6
Schedule: Monday to Friday (10:00am-6:00pm)
Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Driver to mainly operate a G class 5 ton or 3-ton truck, as well as occasionally a cargo van and complete local pickups and deliveries in and around Pearson International Airport and the GTA.
The Driver will also assist with loading and unloading cargo, basic vehicle maintenance, and other operational duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the company vehicle for local pickups and deliveries.
- Complete deliveries and pickups throughout Pearson Airport and the GTA.
- Load and unload cargo using a hand truck/dolly and by hand in some cases.
- Ensure cargo is handled safely and delivered on time.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery instructions.
- Complete required pickup and delivery documentation.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with warehouse and other operational duties as required.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Be available for occasional after-hours pickups and deliveries if available.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid G Class Driver’s License.
- Minimum 3 years of heavy vehicle operating experience.
- Letter of experience from a previous employer or insurance company confirming at least 3 years of heavy vehicle driving experience is mandatory.
- Clean and current Driver’s Abstract.
- Completed Criminal Background Check.
- Safe driving record and ability to drive in various weather and road conditions.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
- Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs. frequently.
- Experience using manual and electric hand truck/dolly.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
