As an Instructional Design Specialist with the Government of Alberta, you will support government-wide 1GX learning and outreach. Design blended learning, digital guidance, and train-the-trainer resources for system changes and business processes. Collaborate with subject matter experts, business owners, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Assess learner needs, business changes, and performance gapsDesign role-based blended learning and digital guidanceDevelop assessments and point-of-need learning materialsFacilitate demonstrations and train-the-trainer activitiesEvaluate adoption through feedback, assessments, and analyticsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldMinimum two years of relevant experienceExperience with adult learning and instructional designExperience using Digital Adoption Platforms or comparable technologiesKnowledge of learning systems, authoring tools, and AI-enabled toolsApply instructional design, adult learning, and digital guidance expertise to strengthen 1GX adoption across Government of Alberta audiences.
