Early Childhood Educator Assistant – OBLT Childcare

Start Date: as soon as possible

Wage: Starting at $22.00 per hour plus benefits available after successful completion of probationary period.

Working collaboratively with the childcare team in our safe and inclusive spaces. We provide a fun, play-based learning environment with a strong connection to the adjacent elementary school.

Required Skills:

- Patient, fun, kind, flexible and energetic
- Able to plan and facilitate activities designed for young children in a play-based learning workplace
- Able to develop and maintain positive working relationship with co-workers, children and their families.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate solid understanding of early child development and able to articulate knowledge to parents/caregivers in a non-judgmental and diplomatic way
- Very good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills





Education:

- Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate

Experience:

- Minimum of two years’ experience in licensed childcare
- Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with the Early Learning Framework
- Experience with nature-based early learning and literacy

Additional Information:

- Current ECEA certificate
- Current clear criminal records check is a hiring requirement
- Valid first aid certificate is a hiring requirement
