Drive embedded systems certification and engineering execution for Thales Avionics, applying DO-178 standards across cooperative Canada-France development.
This Team Leader manages a 20 to 30 member group of software architects, specialists, and work package managers. The team develops critical embedded software and hardware, associated tools, and model-based systems engineering support. You will coordinate with French counterparts, Engineering managers, Quality, program management, and certification authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor compliance activities and project implementation milestones
Organize expertise networks and evaluate critical capabilities
Provide reports to project managers and senior management
Monitor research and technology activities for future systems
Maintain Thales Engineering Environment tools and automate production
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or software engineering
Ten years in embedded critical systems development or equivalent
Experience planning and monitoring engineering work
Ability to analyze organizational competence, structure, and process
Strong French and English communication skills
Bring certification expertise, organizational analysis, and embedded development leadership to Thales Avionics programs spanning Canada and France.
