WE’RE HIRING: EXPERIENCED HEAD BARISTA

Ahlan Coffee House | St. Albert, Alberta

Pay: $17.50–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus pooled tips

Ahlan Coffee House is looking for an experienced Head Barista who is passionate about coffee, delivers exceptional customer service, and leads by example.

We’re a Dubai-inspired café serving specialty drinks, desserts, and food. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in every drink and can help our team deliver consistent quality and productive, welcoming service.

Your role

- Prepare espresso-based drinks and specialty beverages with accuracy and consistency.
- Dial in espresso, adjust grinders, and maintain high standards for milk steaming and latte art.
- Lead the bar during busy shifts, keeping orders organized, accurate, and timely.
- Train and coach baristas on recipes, technique, presentation, and customer service.
- Welcome guests, make recommendations, and handle customer concerns professionally.
- Keep equipment and workstations clean, organized,



and well maintained.
- Monitor stock, assist with inventory, and minimize waste.
- Work closely with management to uphold food safety and café standards.

Who we’re looking for

- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a barista.
- Must have at least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Strong espresso preparation, milk steaming, and drink flavoring.
- A proven track record of consistent drink quality and excellent customer service.
- Previous head barista, training, or team leadership experience is preferred.
- A reliable, organized team player who takes initiative and stays calm under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
