This Pipeline Integrity Technologist or Engineer in Training supports Pembina’s Technical Services team under the Geotechnical Supervisor. The work includes ILI IMU data assessment, pipeline integrity engineering assessments, digital tools, and special projects. Python, Microsoft Power Automate, Visual Basic for Applications, and artificial intelligence support technical capability development.
Key Responsibilities
Plot and analyze raw IMU data for individual geohazardsReview and classify bending strains and pipeline movementsMaintain the Pipeline Integrity Tracking System ILI IMU databaseCoordinate third-party data collection and vendor reviewsSupport engineering assessments, tools, budgets, and long-range plansRequirements: Engineering degree or relevant technologist certificationMinimum three years of relevant technologist or Engineer in Training experienceIndustry experience with ILI IMUWorking knowledge of pipeline integrity and geohazard practicesValid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and travel availabilityBring ILI IMU analysis, geohazard knowledge, and digital tool experience to Pembina’s pipeline integrity team in Calgary.
