The Director, Product Taxation is a subject matter expert supporting the Insurance Solutions Division. You will consult across Product, Distribution, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Actuarial, and Financial Underwriting. The role translates complex legislation into practical recommendations while balancing risk, customer needs, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret legislation, regulations, court cases, treaties, and administrative positionsAdvise on product development, marketing materials, initiatives, and tax reportingEvaluate tax solutions, risks, implementation,



and corrective actionsAnalyze investment structures and fund product lifecyclesShare expertise and participate in industry committees and task forcesRequirements:
CPA designation or equivalent education and experienceSix to nine or more years of related experienceCanadian income tax and general taxation knowledgeExperience with group products and investment fund taxationResearch, communication, leadership, and professional judgment skillsBring insurance taxation expertise, technical judgment, and collaborative leadership to Canada Life’s product and business strategies.
