Tetranex is seeking a full time Senior Electrical Designer/Heat Trace Designer for our Calgary office
Your main responsibilities
Supervise and assist in the development of project design, drafting deliverables andproject work packages.
Electrical heat trace calculations and design, as well as development of associatedelectrical drawings.
Design and drafting of electrical drawings including, but not limited to: single linediagrams, low/medium voltage power schematics, electrical layouts, cable schedules,panel layouts, I/O schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
Support of senior team resources in the development of design calculations and studiesincluding, but not limited to: equipment & cable sizing and selection, lighting, voltagedrop, cable tray fill, etc.




Quality assurance and support of project schedule input and progress tracking.
Communication and coordination with department and project team members asrequired.
Manage co-ordination with vendors and vendor documentation to a level required forproject execution.
Mentor junior design resources to ensure that they are properly instructed in theperformance of their assigned tasks.
Mentor junior resources to provide growth in understanding of key industry conceptsrelating to the Electrical discipline including constructability, schedule considerations,cost impact, change management and environmental considerations and impacts.
Apply and promote health and safety rules and comply with Englobe's quality procedures.
What makes you unique
Extensive experience in design applications in support of energy sector projects.
Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design from a recognized technical institute orcomparable industry experience.
Extensive experience in electrical heat trace design and use of industry standardsoftware.
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
3D CAD and NavisWorks experience required.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical design calculations, including: EHT, lighting,tray fill, cable & protection sizing.




Solid working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code.
Bluebeam Revu experience required.
SmartPlant experience an asset.
Ability to work independently and in team environments.
Strong work ethic as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others.
