ROLE OVERVIEW
PulseLearning is looking for experienced facilitators to deliver and maintain customer training for one of our global software Clients.
You will be a strong expert in at least one of two product areas. The first is PIPE-FLO, used for fluid piping system modelling. The second is AGi32 and ElumTools, used for lighting design and analysis.
You will facilitate live training for engineering and design professionals, both virtually and in person, and manage the full learning event, from virtual classroom setup through to evaluation and reporting.
You will keep course content accurate and current, and use AI-enabled tools to work smarter and help shape how the training evolves. We are looking for someone who genuinely embraces AI and new ways of working, and who is excited to help keep this training modern, efficient, and engaging.
This is not a project based role and load will vary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitation and Delivery Facilitate scheduled live courses, both virtually and in person, typically one to two events per course each quarter.
- Facilitate courses in one or both of these areas. PIPE-FLO: a 12-course series covering essential modelling skills, basic, pump, heat transfer, and control and instrument devices, custom pipes and fittings, data import and export, viscous and non-Newtonian fluids, closed loop systems, compressible gas analysis, and common modelling mistakes. AGi32 and ElumTools: introductory training (standard and relaxed pace), intermediate roadway lighting, basic interior and exterior lighting in ElumTools, and Revit with ElumTools for lighting designers.
- Create an engaging, interactive learning workplace that encourages questions, hands-on practice, and peer learning, whether online or in the room.
- Adapt your facilitation style and pace to learners with different experience levels and needs.
- Content Development and Maintenance
Maintain and update course materials, exercises, and practice models so they stay current with new software releases.
- Maintain version control so facilitators and learners always have the current materials.
- Collaborate with Client subject matter experts and product teams to translate complex engineering concepts into clear, practical learning experiences.
- Apply adult learning principles to course design and delivery, in line with the Client's learning objectives.
- Develop or update facilitator guides, job aids, FAQs, and process documentation using approved source materials.
- Virtual Classroom and Learning Event Administration
Create and administer virtual classroom sessions using approved enterprise platforms.
- Configure facilitator and producer access, participant settings, invitations, engagement features, and supporting learning materials, including virtual lab environments where used.
- Partner with fellow facilitators to confirm session readiness, and support rehearsals where required.
- Run polls, quizzes, knowledge checks,
attendance tracking, and participant engagement activities.
- Extract and reconcile attendance and interaction data, and prepare completion information for downstream processing when automated integration is unavailable.
- Troubleshoot virtual learning issues and coordinate escalation to technical support where necessary.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Create and validate survey and evaluation links based on the intended audience, learning modality (virtual or in person), and measurement requirements.
- Run recurring and ad hoc reports across learning, media, survey, content, and collaboration platforms.
- Review data for completeness and accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and clearly document any limitations.
- Consolidate information from multiple sources using approved and repeatable processes.
- Prepare clear reporting outputs and summaries for PulseLearning and Client stakeholders.
- Maintain reporting schedules, templates, and instructions to support consistency and self-service.
Quality and Governance
- Apply established requirements for naming conventions, version control, accessibility, privacy, and security across course materials and learner data.
- Escalate quality, privacy, accessibility, or operational risks appropriately.
- Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to processes, guidance, and the learner experience.
- Continuous Improvement and AI Enablement
Embrace and champion AI and new ways of working, staying current with emerging tools and practices, and maintaining a willingness to adapt how courses are designed, delivered, and supported.
- Use Microsoft 365 Copilot and approved AI or automation tools to improve efficiency and consistency, while remaining accountable for accuracy, confidentiality, quality, and final decisions.
- Use AI-assisted tools, where appropriate, to support session preparation, content updates, exercise creation, learner feedback summaries, meeting notes, status updates, document reviews, and reporting.
- Use approved AI tools to help identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent information in course materials and data, and to organise and reconcile attendance and evaluation data, with appropriate human review.
- Ensure all AI-assisted outputs are reviewed and validated for technical accuracy before use with learners or the Client.
- Act on learner feedback and evaluation results to improve both your facilitation and the course content.
- Explore and recommend new delivery approaches, such as blended formats, shorter modules, and on-demand support for live sessions.
- Identify repetitive tasks that may benefit from AI or automation, and contribute to testing and documenting safe, repeatable improvements.
Ways of Working
- Take initiative, anticipate needs, and raise constraints and risks early.
- Support knowledge transfer and onboarding of other facilitators where needed.
- Work effectively with remote and globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Stay current with product updates, industry practice, facilitation and instructional design trends, and emerging learning technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Expert, hands-on knowledge of PIPE-FLO, AGi32, or ElumTools, gained through professional engineering, design, or applications work. Expertise in one product area is required. More than one is an advantage.
- For PIPE-FLO: a background in fluid systems, piping, pumps, HVAC, or process engineering.
- For AGi32 and ElumTools: a background in lighting design, lighting applications, or roadway lighting.
- 3+ years of experience facilitating technical training for adult learners, with proven delivery in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Confident, engaging presence, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and handle questions on the spot.
- Hands-on experience setting up and running sessions on enterprise virtual classroom platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Webex, including engagement tools and attendance tracking.
- Experience designing, developing, or updating technical courses and exercises.
- Experience creating learner surveys and evaluations and producing reports from learning or survey platforms, with strong attention to data accuracy.
- Practical experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot or other AI-enabled tools in content development, training delivery, or reporting, with a responsible approach to accuracy and confidentiality.
- A genuine growth mindset and enthusiasm for AI and new ways of working, with a track record of adopting new tools and delivery methods and welcoming feedback on your facilitation.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage course delivery, administration, and reporting alongside each other.
- Strong learning agility and the ability to pick up new platforms and tools quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Lighting, Education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A facilitation or train the trainer certification is an advantage, as is FLO-Master certification, Lighting Certified (LC), PE, or membership of the IES or Hydraulic Institute.
- Experience with learning management systems, virtual lab environments, Autodesk Revit (for ElumTools), or eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise is desirable.
- Must be able to pass and maintain a security clearance
