The team behind MIMI Chinese is proud to operate its sister restaurant, Sunnys Chinese, located in the heart of Kensington Market.

Sunnys is inspired by high-energy dining cultures found throughout China. From Shaokao spots in Chengdu and Xi’an to Dai Pai Dongs in Hong Kong. We look to regional traditions to create an experience that’s casual and playful!

We are looking for inspired, energetic individuals who are passionate about the industry, dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences, and strive to deliver lasting memories that pay tribute to the deeply rooted history of Chinese food and beverage culture.

What you will find at Sunnys Chinese is the excitement behind a recent launch, the vibrant and diverse atmosphere of Kensington Market, and an energetic, passionate team that works together to create an innovative atmosphere that redefines the true meaning of hospitality and traditional cuisine.

As a member of the Support Staff at Sunny’s Chinese, you’ll ensure that our guests have a fun and memorable dining experience with us while providing exceptional guest experiences and a warm and welcoming environment to all.

What You'll Do

- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables
- Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
- Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
- Assist Servers with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
- Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)




- Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
- Remove dirty dishes and utensils
- Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items

What You'll Need

- Proven restaurant serving experience in a luxury or fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- High energy levels
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent verbal communication
- Authorization to work in Canada
- Smart Serve Certified
- An interest in learning about regional Chinese food and beverage
