Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.
The Steamfitter-Pipefitter is involved in connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging. This work may exist indoors or outdoors depending on the scope and is typically physically demanding.

Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and CalgaryAccommodation: Camp availableHourly Rate: $53.56UNION POSITION Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S; standardsSelect type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprintsConstruct support hangers and hydraulic cylinders according to specificationsUtilize pipe bending tools or machines to bend pipePerform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaksEnsure that holes cut in pipe will not cause structural weaknessConnect pipe utilizing threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints and hand toolsInstall and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylindersCut pipe utilizing saws, pipe cutting machines, cutting torch, etc.
