Company Description Lewis & Associates LLP is a Toronto-based law firm offering legal services in Canadian immigration and refugee law. We have offices in Toronto, Montreal, Windsor and Edmonton. This position is specifically for our Montreal Office, located at St. Catherine and Peel streets. Role Description The Immigration and Refugee Lawyer – Montreal role at Lewis & Associates LLP is a full time, hybrid position located in Montreal Quebec. The lawyer will advise and represent clients in immigration and refugee matters, including applications for permanent residence, temporary residence, visas, refugee claims, appeals, and judicial reviews. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, assessing eligibility and risks, preparing legal opinions, drafting submissions and application materials, and managing files through all stages of the process. The role involves appearing before administrative tribunals and courts as required,



staying current with immigration and refugee law and policy developments, and collaborating with colleagues and support staff to deliver timely, high-quality legal services. The lawyer will also maintain accurate documentation and billing records and be knowledgeable or be able to learn Quickbooks and Clio for everyday legal matters. Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Immigration and refugee Issues.
• Demonstrated understanding of Immigration Policy and related regulatory frameworks in Canada.
• At least one year of Practical experience handling refugee claims.
• Membership in good standing with the Quebec Bar.
• Proficiency in the French language Salary Salary is commensurate with experience. A junior lawyer will receive any combination of salary and fee split totalling a minimum of $75,000 per annum.
