Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Exploration, Newfoundland, the Geological Modeler is responsible for providing the Exploration department with high-quality 2D and 3D models to support their ongoing exploration efforts. The incumbent will perform duties including but not limited to database QA/QC, geological model building and review, design of data capturing programs to properly inform geological modeling and mentoring other members of the team. This position is based remotely working Monday to Friday with routine travel to the VGM mine site as required. Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environment through personal behaviours and conversations.
• Collect,



validate, and interpret data from a range of inputs across the exploration pipeline including drilling, trenching, prospecting, mapping, geophysics and geochemistry programs.
• Develop and maintain regional and deposit scale geological models to guide exploration and resource development activities
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members, stakeholders, and departments to ensure all potential inputs are considered, and interpretations are aligned across all groups.
• Present models to exploration department, ensuring sufficient understanding across the team to properly inform targeting and exploration efforts.
• Review resource and reserve models for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain annual and quarterly schedule of deliverables in concert with the Director of Exploration.
• Assist in the production of various reports as required.
• Ensure that all industry best practices and company standards are followed across the exploration and modeling workflows.
• Mentor exploration team to develop their modeling capabilities.

• BSc. in Geology, Earth Sciences or a related field; MSc.



or higher is considered an asset
• Registered or eligible to be registered as a P.
Geo.
• Minimum 5 years in the exploration and mining industry.
• Minimum 3 years of direct 3D modeling experience. Skills And Knowledge
• 3D modeling experience in orogenic gold deposits; experience with Leapfrog Geo preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient in the use of other specialized software and techniques relating to the mineral exploration industry (Acquire, QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.).
• Skilled with all aspects of Microsoft 365.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to manage heavy physical work, which is defined as maximal lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 55lbs.
