Do you enjoy making precise parts and seeing them become part of something bigger? At Legacy Art & Gauge, we’re a close-knit team building precision gauges, checking fixtures and automation equipment for automotive manufacturers. We’re looking for a versatile machinist to work closely with our toolmaker and help keep our projects moving.

What you’ll do:

- Work alongside our toolmaker making and fitting components for gauges, fixtures and automation equipment
- Run manual machines, including lathe, mill and surface grinder
- Set up and run our CNC lathe to produce pins and other turned parts
- Support CNC milling operations as needed
- Read and work from engineering drawings
- Check your own parts using standard measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Help keep the shop clean, organized and safe

What we’re looking for:

- Hands-on experience with manual machines (lathe, mill, grinder)
- Experience setting up and running a CNC lathe, or a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to read engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools
- Reliable, detail-oriented and takes pride in quality work




- A team player who enjoys variety and solving problems

Nice to have:

- CNC milling experience
- Basic CNC programming or editing skills
- General Machinist or Tool & Die Maker certification, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a tool shop or gauge/fixture setting
