Job Title: Senior AI/ML Engineer Job

Location:
Nearshore (Canada based) – 100% Remote Employment Type: 12+ Months Contract Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our AI/ML engineering team and design, develop, and productionize scalable AI/ML and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in machine learning, software engineering, LLM-based applications, agentic AI systems, and MLOps/LLMOps. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building intelligent applications, developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, implementing AI agents, and integrating advanced AI/ML capabilities into enterprise applications. The candidate will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Architecture teams to deliver reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AI-powered solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI solutions, leveraging modern AI development tools and agentic coding assistants such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Build and maintain scalable AI/ML systems using established software architecture and design patterns, with a strong focus on security, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and integrate AI agent-based applications, LLM-powered solutions, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Implement and support Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations to enable interoperability between AI models, tools, and enterprise systems.
• Develop and operationalize end-to-end machine learning solutions for both batch and real-time processing environments.




• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, automated testing, performance testing, and A/B testing frameworks for AI/ML applications.
• Apply MLOps and LLMOps best practices to support model deployment, monitoring, evaluation, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.
• Optimize AI application performance and operational costs, including LLM token consumption and resource utilization.
• Develop productive, maintainable, and well-structured software in Python and other relevant programming languages.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Architects to design and deliver new AI-powered capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, systematic testing, and quality assurance to ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, task estimation, dependency management, and iterative software delivery.
• Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers while effectively managing changing priorities and technical uncertainties.
• Communicate complex technical concepts, implementation approaches, and engineering decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining data science and machine learning solutions in production environments.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience developing AI agent-based systems, LLM-powered applications, and RAG architectures.
• Experience working with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and integrating AI models with external tools and systems.
• Experience with open-source Large Language Models (LLMs),



Generative AI frameworks, and LLMOps practices.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and production-grade AI/ML system development.
• Experience working with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with distributed data processing technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Scala.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud environments.
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience working with Databricks.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar technologies.
• Strong object-oriented programming and software development skills using Python, Java, or related languages.
• Experience building and productionizing end-to-end machine learning systems.
• Understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and API design and development.
• Familiarity with data pipeline development and workflow orchestration tools.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including unit testing, test automation, continuous integration, code reviews, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
