Role Description The Data Platform Operations Engineer 1 is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting and maintaining data platforms and related infrastructure. In this position, the engineer monitors system health, performs routine checks, and responds to incidents affecting data availability, performance, and reliability. Daily tasks include troubleshooting issues on Linux and Windows environments, managing user access, and assisting with configuration changes under guidance from senior engineers.



The role involves working with internal teams and customers to resolve service requests, document solutions, and apply best practices to improve operational processes. The engineer also participates in basic automation tasks, maintains clear records, and contributes to continuous improvement of monitoring and support procedures. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving system and platform issues.
• Candidates should possess Customer Service skills for clear, skilled communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems in an operational or support capacity.
• Familiarity with basic scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and monitoring tools is beneficial.
• Understanding of data platforms, databases, or cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate within distributed teams.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience—is preferred.
