Job Summary

As a Greenhouse Labourer, you’ll support daily plant care and greenhouse operations through hands-on horticulture and gardening work. You’ll help maintain growing areas, use irrigation systems, and handle practical tasks that keep plants and workspaces in good condition.

Responsibilities

- Water plants and monitor irrigation, adjusting routine care to support healthy growth.
- Plant, transplant, prune, and maintain plants using growing industry best practices.
- Move supplies and materials, including heavy lifting, and keep work areas orderly.
- Use basic math to measure materials such as fertilizers or track quantities, and apply mechanical knowledge to routine equipment tasks like operating climate controls.
- Mix and prepare soils
- Monitor for pest and disease in plants

Requirements Required: Practical ability to use hand tools, perform gardening and horticulture tasks, follow irrigation routines, handle heavy lifting,



and use basic math for measurements or counts. Mechanical knowledge supports routine equipment work and safe, effective completion of daily duties. Related greenhouse, gardening, or horticulture experience, along with familiarity with irrigation systems or basic equipment upkeep, is necessary.

A careful, dependable approach helps you work effectively with colleagues and maintain healthy plants.

Pay: $18.95 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
