The Guidewire Software Architect designs and governs Guidewire Cloud solutions, ensuring architectural alignment, robust API integrations, and compliance with enterprise standards. Supports teams in optimizing performance, automating testing, and delivering scalable solutions that drive business value.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Participate in the design of solutions on the Guidewire platform (Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire ClaimCenter, Guidewire BillingCenter, and Guidewire ContactManager).

Analyze situations and support stakeholders in decision-making.

Identify potential risks and challenges associated with proposed solutions.

Evaluate the capabilities and features of the Guidewire Cloud platform.

Assess the platform's capabilities against business requirements.

Contribute to defining Guidewire architecture best practices and standards.

Conduct architecture reviews to ensure compliance with established guidelines.

Develop solution architectures and maintain technical documentation.

Align architectural evolution in collaboration with architecture governance committees.

Collaborate with product, business, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Provide technical and methodological guidance to team members.

Act as a subject matter expert on architectural direction, platform evolution, standards and best practices, and management or support tooling requirements.

Demonstrate knowledge of Guidewire's out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionalities to guide clients toward an "adopt" approach, prioritizing standard platform capabilities over unnecessary customization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role





Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, including at least 5 years in a similar role.

Strong proficiency with Guidewire Cloud products, particularly PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter.

Significant asset: Valid and up-to-date Guidewire ACE certification.

Excellent understanding of software architectures and API integrations.

Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.

Ability to manage complex initiatives involving development, infrastructure, and security.

Strong complex problem-solving skills.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000–$135,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
