Title: Rapid Response Guard

Employment Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr - $20.91/hr

Site: Various Sites Across Hamilton (Industrial, Healthcare, Retail, and Commercial)

Schedule: Continental Days (0700 - 1900) or Continental Nights (1900 - 0700)

Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement (overtime applies after 88 hours)

Site Overview

As a Rapid Response Guard, you will support a diverse portfolio of properties throughout the Hamilton area, ranging from bustling healthcare facilities and retail spaces to high-security industrial sites and office towers. This position provides dynamic daily work environments where shift locations are assigned based on client needs, giving you comprehensive experience across multiple sectors.

What You'll Be Doing

- Conducting thorough patrols across assigned sites to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitoring access control points to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
- Operating monitoring equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarm panels, and reporting safety concerns promptly.
- Responding swiftly to in office emergencies, medical calls, fire alarms, and critical incidents, including leading safe evacuations.
- Greeting visitors, staff, and clients professionally while assisting with inquiries and enforcing site policies.
- De-escalating tense or disruptive situations calmly and effectively.
- Writing accurate, detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and site documentation.
- Traveling reliably between assigned site locations across Hamilton.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security License.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.




- Ownership of a reliable personal vehicle for travel between sites.
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a completed two-step TB skin test.
- Ability to maintain a clean-shaven face to meet N95 mask fit-test requirements.
- Physical capability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work full-time hours in Canada.
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), or willingness to complete Paladin's free pre-employment training program prior to onboarding (requires a 6-month commitment).

Nice-to-Haves

- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License.
- Educational background in Police Foundations, Criminology, Protection Security and Investigation (PSI), or Border Services.
