Overview The Head Housekeeper leads day-to-day cleaning and housekeeping operations, helping maintain clean, orderly spaces and a welcoming experience for guests. This is a hands-on role that combines practical cleaning, coordinating daily tasks, supporting team members, and maintaining consistent housekeeping standards.

The successful candidate must live in the Comox Valley and be able to drive a company bus up and down Mount Washington. This position requires physical fitness to load and unload laundry and supplies, and the ability to work four days per week performing hands-on cleaning, with shifts often exceeding 8 hours. One day per week will be dedicated to working from home and completing administrative duties. A personal laptop, reliable internet, and smartphone are required.

Duties

- Organize daily housekeeping tasks, assign work, and guide team members to keep cleaning priorities on track.
- Clean and inspect accommodations and shared areas, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and ready for guest arrivals.
- Coordinate laundry transportation between Mount Washington and the valley, including loading, unloading, drop-offs, and pickups.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, report maintenance concerns, and follow protected cleaning practices.




- Complete administrative duties, maintain housekeeping records, schedules, and checklists.
- Support housekeeping team members with clear direction and respond to housekeeping requests in a timely, professional manner.

Experience

Required: Previous hands-on cleaning or housekeeping experience, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and support a team. Must be physically capable of demanding cleaning duties and loading and unloading laundry and supplies. A valid driver's licence and confidence driving a company bus in mountain conditions are required.

Preferred: Previous hotel, hospitality, supervisory, or team leadership experience. Experience with administrative tasks, scheduling, and coordinating housekeeping operations is an asset. A reliable, flexible, and hands-on approach is essential for this role.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
