Heavy Duty Mechanic – Red Seal

Location: Moosonee, Ontario

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: Full Time, Permanent, Rotational

Moosonee Transportation Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform maintenance & repairs on both light & heavy-duty vehicles, equipment, trailers, etc.
- Complete Safeties utilizing the Drive On platform
- Diagnose mechanical issues & implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety & operational standards.
- Order parts, complete PO’s, etc.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a heavy-duty mechanic.
- Driver’s license required.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Basic ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, gravel trucks, manlifts, forklifts, etc.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Good computer skills




- Previous experience performing safeties using the DriveOn program.

Travel & Accommodations:

- Travel expenses to and from Moosonee as well as accommodations, provided by company.
- Company vehicle while in Moosonee.

Salary:

- Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
