The Recreation Worker plans and facilitates activities that promote purpose, creativity, community, lifelong learning, and fun. This role supports resident skills, knowledge, relationships, and personal connections. Programs reflect resident information, choices, and AgeCare's philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement daily recreation and leisure activities
- Facilitate planned and spontaneous resident opportunities
- Create engaging spaces supporting meaningful resident participation
- Observe, report, and document changes in participation




- Evaluate recreation programming and quality improvement processes

Requirements:

- Prior experience working with seniors, preferably long-term care
- Diploma or degree in recreation, leisure, or therapeutic recreation
- Related health care education and recreation service experience
- Skills in assessment, care planning, and documentation
- Knowledge of therapeutic programming techniques and approaches
