Renovations Assistant Wanted

We’re a small, growing residential renovations company looking for a dependable, hardworking Renovations Assistant to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a good work ethic, and can work independently with minimal supervision. The right person should be willing to take on a variety of tasks, learn current skills, and help keep jobs running smoothly.

Requirements

- Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transportation
- Cell phone with an active talk and text plan
- Previous experience in renovations, construction, or a related field
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English fluently
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Good personal hygiene, a professional attitude, and respect for clients and their homes
- Must maintain a smoke-free and vape-free work environment and be free from impairment by alcohol or drugs while on the job

Duties & Responsibilities Work will vary depending on the project and may include:
- Residential demolition and cleanup
- Digging, breaking up concrete, and other physical labour
- Basic framing and general carpentry




- Minor electrical and plumbing tasks within the worker’s qualifications
- Insulation and vapour barrier installation

- Flooring installation

- Painting and preparation
- Finish carpentry, including trim, baseboards, and doors

- Drywall installation and taping
- Loading, unloading, organizing materials, and keeping job sites clean
- Assisting with general renovation tasks as required

Schedule
- Typically 3–5 days per week
- Usual hours are approximately 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

- Some flexibility in scheduling
- Hours may vary depending on project requirements and client schedules

You should be comfortable with physical work, willing to help wherever needed, and able to treat clients, their homes, and the rest of the team with respect.
