Tre Mari Bakery is a family-owned Italian bakery that has proudly served Toronto's Corso Italia neighbourhood for over 65 years. Known for our fresh bread, authentic Italian pastries, traditional hot table dishes, coffee, and warm hospitality, we are committed to providing exceptional food and customer service.

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and dependable Hot Table Server to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Serve hot table meals, savoury pastries, desserts, coffee, and gelato.
- Answer customer questions, recommend products, and offer samples when appropriate.
- Learn about product ingredients, preparation methods, and common food allergens.
- Answer telephone inquiries and provide accurate information about our bakery and products.

Food Service & Presentation

- Portion, package, wrap, and price food products accurately.
- Prepare basic hot and cold beverages.
- Maintain attractive displays of savoury and sweet pastries.
- Replenish hot table products throughout the day.
- Ensure all food items are clearly and correctly labelled.
- Communicate with kitchen staff when food items need replenishment.

Cleaning & Food Safety

- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary hot table area.
- Wash dishes and utensils and clean food service equipment.
- Wipe counters, clean spills promptly, and mop floors when necessary.




- Restock packaging materials, utensils, and service supplies.
- Assist with maintaining indoor seating and the seasonal patio.
- Follow all established food safety and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications
- Previous food service, bakery, café, or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Friendly and approachable personality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn about Italian food, coffee, and bakery products.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist teammates when needed.
- Ability to remain standing and active throughout a shift.

Training & Development Full training will be provided using Tre Mari Bakery's Hot Table Store Clerk Training Checklist.

Successful employees will learn all aspects of hot table operations, including opening and closing procedures. Advancement opportunities may be available for employees who demonstrate strong customer service and operational skills.
