Hotel Maintenance Worker:

Wingate by Wyndham Fort Saskatchewan — Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Wingate by Wyndham Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Worker to keep our guest rooms, equipment, and public areas safe, comfortable, and well maintained.

Responsibilities

- Complete general repairs in guest rooms and public areas, including basic plumbing, painting, drywall, furniture, doors, and locks.
- Troubleshoot heating, air conditioning, lighting, and hotel equipment; coordinate qualified contractors when needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine property inspections.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, housekeeping, and the front desk.
- Assist with pool maintenance, water testing, and recordkeeping, following required training and procedures.
- Maintain exterior areas, including parking lot checks, litter removal, snow clearing, and ice control.
- Keep tools, supplies, maintenance records, and work areas organized.
- Report safety concerns, equipment failures,



and major repair needs to the General Manager.
- Follow safe work practices and minimize disruption to guests.

Qualifications

- Previous building maintenance experience; hotel experience is an asset.
- Practical repair skills and the ability to troubleshoot common maintenance issues.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Professional attitude and courteous communication with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working outdoors.
- Pool operator certification is an asset.
- Availability for weekends and occasional urgent maintenance needs.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
