Role Description The Pulmonary Function Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Pickering Diagnostic Imaging Center in Pickering, ON. This role is responsible for performing pulmonary function tests and related respiratory assessments according to established protocols and physician orders. Day-to-day tasks include preparing patients for testing, explaining procedures, operating and maintaining pulmonary testing equipment, monitoring patient responses, and accurately recording and reporting test results. The technician collaborates with respiratory therapists, physicians,



and other clinical staff to support diagnosis and ongoing patient management, while ensuring adherence to safety standards, infection control practices, and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications

- Demonstrated knowledge in cardiopulmonary function and related diagnostic testing.
- Experience or training in respiratory care, including patient assessment and monitoring.
- Background in medicine or clinical sciences that supports safe, informed patient interactions.
- Education in respiratory therapy or a closely related field; certification or registration as a respiratory care professional is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, technical aptitude with medical equipment, and accurate documentation skills.
