Role Description The Laborer role at Staircapping by Ligori CDR is a full-time, in office position based in Hamilton, ON. The Laborer supports carpenters and installers by preparing materials, moving and organizing supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading materials, assisting with basic measurements and cutting under supervision, setting up and dismantling workstations, and handling debris and waste disposal according to safety standards. The Laborer may also help with light construction activities, use hand and power tools after proper training, and follow instructions from supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time.



This role involves physical work, working around noise and dust, and following all safety procedures and company guidelines.
Qualifications

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic familiarity with construction or renovation work, including safe use of hand tools and willingness to learn power tool operation.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions accurately, and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized job site.
- Reliable transportation to the Hamilton, ON job site, consistent punctuality, and flexibility to work standard daytime hours and occasional overtime.
- Understanding of basic workplace safety practices; prior experience with safety training (e.g., WHMIS or similar) is an asset.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work cooperatively in a team, and respectful interaction with coworkers and clients.
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry assistance, or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
