Role Description

Independent Travel Advisor – Commission-Based | Remote

We're seeking motivated, service-driven Travel Advisors to join our growing team.

This is a fully remote, independent contractor opportunity for individuals who are passionate about travel, enjoy building meaningful client relationships, and want the flexibility to grow their own business while benefiting from the support of an established travel agency.

As a Guide Me Away Travel Advisor, you'll manage your clients' travel experiences from the initial consultation through their return home, delivering personalized recommendations, expert guidance, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Consult with clients to understand their travel goals, preferences, budgets, and expectations.
- Research, design, and book personalized travel experiences, including all-inclusive vacations, cruises, flights, accommodations, tours, and custom itineraries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients,



suppliers, and industry partners.
- Manage reservations, payments, modifications, cancellations, and travel documentation with accuracy and professionalism.
- Provide proactive communication and concierge-level support before, during, and after travel.
- Build and grow a loyal client base through referrals, repeat business, networking, and relationship management.
- Stay informed about destinations, supplier promotions, industry developments, and travel regulations.
- Maintain accurate client records and bookings using agency-approved systems.
- Represent Guide Me Away's brand and commitment to exceptional service.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a Travel Advisor, Travel Agent, or Travel Consultant is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of travel booking processes, supplier relationships, and vacation planning.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a client-first approach.
- Ability to research destinations, compare travel products, and create thoughtful recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence managing multiple bookings, deadlines, and client requests independently.
- Familiarity with travel industry booking platforms, CRM systems, and digital tools.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to develop a successful client portfolio.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with agency leadership and fellow advisors.
- A commitment to professionalism, integrity, and exceptional client experiences.

Additional Assets

- An existing client base or established travel business.
- Experience selling luxury travel, cruises, all-inclusive vacations, groups, or custom itineraries.
- Familiarity with Canadian travel industry regulations and supplier booking systems.
- Travel industry certifications or relevant hospitality training.
