Job Overview

As an Industrial Cleaner, you will help maintain clean, orderly work areas in the plant, equipment, machines, warehouse, production zones through consistent cleaning tasks in a manufacturing environment while following established procedures.

Duties

- Maintaining a safe, clean, operational and compliant work area in the plant, warehouse, production zones while following strict safety regulations.
- Provide comprehensive cleaning/vacuuming tasks on equipment, machines, workstations, floors, walls - utilizing a forklift, boom lift, scissor lift - working from heights and disassembly when required
- Operate heavy duty cleaning equipment (pressure washer, industrial vacuums, floor scrubber)
- Dispose of industrial garbage/wase and hazardous material in compliance with site regulations
- Respond to spills and contain hazards
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures when cleaning in and around machinery and equipment

Experience





- Proven work experience in a manufacturing setting
- Practical cleaning skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a hot environment doing manual/physical labour
- Ability to lift, push, pull, grip, reach, bend
- Ability to wear PPE - respirators, dust masks, tyvek suits, gloves, goggles

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour Expected hours: 42.0 per week
