Shape Front Burner’s audio storytelling as a Producer with CBC/Radio-Canada, using journalistic judgment, creative sound, and podcast production expertise. This full-time, approximately ten-month contract ends September 2027 and can be based anywhere with access to a CBC Station. You will develop stories for CBC News, translating daily Canadian and international news into engaging audio. The work calls for editorial leadership, robust writing, and confident production under tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

Conceive and develop program ideas and story concepts Assign, research, gather, write, and edit program content Supervise contributors supporting programs or segments Direct talent, sound, image, editing, and mixing Exercise delegated editorial responsibility and evaluate productions Requirements:

University degree or equivalent qualification Minimum five years’ journalistic setting experience Experience pitching and producing stories for broadcast Podcast production and audio editing software experience Knowledge of CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices Bring podcast production, editorial leadership, and creative audio skills to CBC/Radio-Canada’s Front Burner newsroom.
