Story Behind the Need:

The Infrastructure Architecture Lead will lead infrastructure discovery, solution architecture, and technical alignment for technology initiatives, translating business requirements into secure, resilient, and implementation-ready infrastructure designs.

This role will work closely with the project manager to coordinate technical deliverables, cross-workstream dependencies, and operational readiness activities. The role leads to infrastructure architecture outcomes, while the project manager retains accountability for the integrated project schedule, budget, and overall delivery management.

The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure architecture expertise with practical delivery experience, stakeholder leadership, and explicit executive communication. The business needs help with support with extra workload.

Role Responsibilities / Typical Day in Role:

Lead current-state discovery, architecture assessments, and target-state infrastructure design.

Define infrastructure requirements, solution options, and recommendations aligned with business priorities and enterprise standards.





Provide architectural leadership across networking, compute, storage, backup, cloud, workplace technology, and telephony, partnering with security and identity specialists.

Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, solution documentation, decision records, and transition roadmaps.

Lead technical design discussions and prepare architecture submissions for applicable governance reviews.

Partner with the project manager to translate architecture deliverables into sequenced activities, milestones, dependencies, and clear ownership.

Coordinate technical workshops and follow-ups across engineering, operations, vendors, and other delivery workstreams.

Identify technical risks, assumptions, design gaps, and delivery blockers; drive resolution with accountable owners and elevate decisions when required.

Guide technical readiness reviews, implementation planning, and operational handover with engineering and operations teams.

Prepare concise leadership updates outlining architecture recommendations, delivery impacts, risks, and decisions required.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

10+ years of progressive enterprise infrastructure experience, including demonstrated leadership of cross-domain infrastructure architecture.

Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, compute, virtualization, storage,



backup and recovery, hybrid cloud, Microsoft 365, and workplace technologies.

Proven ability to drive complex, large-scale infrastructure initiatives from discovery through implementation.

Solid collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with PMs, and technical teams, to manage risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

Previous experience working within large enterprise environments.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related discipline
