Develop machine learning models for application security at Akamai, using Python and SQL or Spark on large datasets. As a Senior II Data Scientist, you will strengthen security products by analyzing data, addressing customer challenges, and improving detection. You will collaborate across development teams to implement solutions and provide insights shaping strategy and performance. Eight years of relevant experience and bachelor’s degree or equivalent Experience using SQL or Spark and Python with large datasets Understanding of probability, statistics, and machine learning techniques Practical knowledge of bot or fraud detection products Familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL protocols Apply machine learning, data analysis, and application security expertise to improve Akamai’s detection products and distributed systems.
