The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Draftsperson to assist in preparing 3D models and construction drawings for container-based projects. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to develop your technical drafting skills while gaining hands-on experience in project coordination and client communication. You will work closely with senior team members and production staff to support drawing development, project documentation, and coordination throughout the design and production process.

Please note: Custom Cubes specializes exclusively in commercial and industrial container applications. This role does not involve the design or drafting of residential container homes.

This position requires a working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp, a basic understanding of construction principles, and a willingness to learn and develop the skills needed to produce accurate construction drawings.

What You Will Do Design and Drafting:

- Assist in creating and maintaining detailed plans in AutoCAD and 3D models in SketchUp for customized container structures, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and fabrication drawings.

· Create and maintain AutoCAD blocks, drawing templates, and drafting standards to ensure consistency and organization across projects. · Assist with drawing revisions and design modifications based on feedback from senior staff, clients,



engineering requirements, and production needs.

Project Coordination and Administration:

- Coordinate drawing revisions and design changes with senior staff and clients to ensure project requirements are accurately reflected.
- Create, manage, and update assembly documents within the company's ERP system to ensure accurate information is available for production.

· Prepare, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and project specification sheets throughout the design and production process.

Client Communication:

- Communicate directly with clients through phone calls, emails, and meetings to discuss project updates, answer questions, and gather feedback.

· Build and maintain positive client relationships through clear, skilled, and timely communication throughout the project. What You Bring to the Table:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering documents.
- Basic understanding of construction principles and practices.
- Ability to produce accurate 2D construction drawings and 3D models.
- A Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant industry experience (motivated recent graduates are welcome to apply).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
