Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily food preparation, including washing, chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other café menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Support bakers and kitchen staff with ingredient preparation and general kitchen duties.
- Assist with preparing and plating hot food items during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Receive deliveries, rotate stock, label ingredients, and follow FIFO inventory procedures.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and help minimize food waste.
- Restock preparation stations and assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Work closely with baristas, bakers, and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, bakery, or commercial kitchen is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization,



and food presentation.
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine kitchen tasks.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
