Schedule: Monday to Friday, with start times based on production requirements

We are currently looking for reliable, hardworking Slaughterhouse Labourers to join our team at our Cloverdale facility on 184th Street.

About the Position

As a Slaughterhouse Labourer, you will be part of our production team, assisting with daily slaughterhouse operations and meat processing activities.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working with livestock and animal carcasses, and willing to learn.

Previous slaughterhouse or meat processing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily slaughterhouse and meat processing operations.
- Handle and move animal carcasses and meat products safely and efficiently.
- Assist with slaughter, dressing, trimming, and other processing tasks as assigned and trained.
- Use knives, hand tools, and processing equipment safely, following proper training.
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Follow established animal welfare and humane handling procedures.
- Assist with moving, sorting, and preparing products for further processing.
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production requirements.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other general labour duties as required.





Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous experience in a slaughterhouse, meat processing facility, agriculture, or general labour is an asset.
- Comfortable working in an environment involving live animals, blood, animal carcasses, and meat processing.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and lifting up to 50 lbs when required.
- Comfortable working in cool, wet, and noisy environments.
- Able to follow instructions and work safely in a rapid-paced production setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Willing to learn new skills and follow established procedures.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
