We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Irrigation Technician to join our team. The right candidate should be capable of taking ownership of a project, leading a crew and making good decisions in the field.

You should be dependable, organized and comfortable being responsible for the quality and productivity of an installation.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of professional irrigation experience
- Certification through IIACB an asset
- Proven leadership and crew-supervision skills
- Ability to read irrigation plans and understand system layouts
- Strong understanding of proper irrigation installation practices
- Experience installing complete irrigation systems from layout through commissioning
- Valid BC driver's license and reliable transportation
- Physically capable of performing outdoor construction work in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities





- Lead residential and commercial irrigation installations
- Lay out zones and irrigation components according to plans and site conditions
- Install piping, valves, valve boxes, sprinklers, drip systems and controllers
- Identify installation issues and recommend practical solutions in the field
- Prepare “as built” markups upon completion
- Perform irrigation start-ups, inspections, system testing and adjustments
- Direct and support other crew members on site
- Communicate with supervisors, customers, contractors and other trades as required
