Northland School Division is seeking a part-time, 0.5 FTE Learning Support Teacher for Elizabeth School. The teacher will work in an ECS to Grade 9 school located in the Metis Elizabeth Settlement , one of only eight legislated Métis land bases with Métis governments established in Northern Alberta, Canada, and protected by legislation. Major Responsibilities include:

- Knowledgeable about inclusive education and skilled at facilitating collaboration and sharing best practices.
- Supports the quit of access to quality programming and resources for all students.
- Works with teams to provide students with the opportunity to access learning environments that are least restrictive and most responsive to student needs.
- Promote differentiated instruction to meet diversity in learning needs.
- Champion Cree language/culture revitalization and curriculum infusion.
- Support school-parent-community engagement.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and commit to cooperative-decision making.





Qualifications and Requirements include:

- Must hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
- Must hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree.
- Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.
- 1-year educational background or experience in one of the following areas:
- Inclusive Education
- Special Education
- Disability Studies
