- RAG Turn the expertise of clinical coders, nurses and auditors into LLM prompts that run in production APIs. You design, test and refine the prompts that automate real business review processes for an established U.S. healthcare services client.

At a glance Engagement: Long-term contract Location: 100% Remote, Canada Eligibility: Canada-based independent contractors Experience: 4+ years What you’ll do Design, test and refine new LLM prompts that are added to existing APIs Build prompts that work with company data for text processing, business analysis and review automation Interview clinical coders, nurses and auditors and turn their knowledge into prompts and rules Evaluate prompt quality systematically and iterate against real-world cases What you bring 4+ years of relevant experience, including strong hands-on prompt engineering: structured outputs,



iteration and systematic quality evaluation Experience with LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI Working knowledge of RAG Working knowledge of classical machine learning techniques Good SQL skills and enough coding skill to integrate prompts with data and APIs Robust communication skills to interview experts and turn their knowledge into clear, testable rules Nice to have Healthcare experience: payer-side work, medical billing, clinical coding (CPT, ICD-10, DRG) or workers’ compensation Document processing experience: OCR, classification, extraction Why this role Your prompts go straight into APIs that automate existing business review work, and you shape them together with the domain experts who do that work today. This is a prompt engineering role, not a heavy software engineering role.
