As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you’ll transport freight over long distances, helping customers receive shipments reliably and supporting smooth coordination with colleagues. The role combines secure commercial driving with careful attention to cargo, vehicle condition, and delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial truck on long-distance routes, following applicable road and safety procedures.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after trips, report concerns, and perform basic automotive repairs when appropriate.
- Secure and handle freight safely, using a forklift or other heavy equipment when needed and appropriate.
- Coordinate delivery updates and document shipment details to help colleagues plan receiving and onward handling.
Requirements
Required: Practical commercial driving capability, sound judgment on the road, and the ability to inspect vehicles, handle freight safely, and maintain accurate trip and delivery records. Preferred: Experience with forklift use, heavy equipment operation, or basic automotive repair, along with strengths in route planning and clear communication.
Pay: $23.66-$35.37 per hour
