About your future job
We’re looking for a social-savvy, creative and commercially minded Marketing Coordinator to help grow our brands across Canada.
This role sits at the intersection of social media marketing and local marketing, allowing you to shape how SWAP, JENZA and BUNAC show up in the Canadian market.
You’ll be hands-on with our social channels – coming up with content ideas, creating and publishing content, spotting trends, engaging with our community and using performance insights to help grow our channels. At the same time, you’ll help bring our brands to life offline through events, partnerships, university activity, local campaigns and other opportunities to connect with young Canadians.
We’re looking for someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling but also knows that great marketing doesn’t only happen online. You’ll be equally comfortable jumping on a trend, creating a Reel, meeting with a potential partner or representing our brands at an event.
You’ll work closely with our global marketing team, local partners and the wider SWAP team to make sure our marketing is relevant, engaging and effective for the Canadian audience.
What you’ll do
Business Development
- Identify and develop new partnerships with brands in alignment with SWAP for cross-collaboration
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients
Marketing:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, and traditional channels
- Manage SWAP social media accounts with the support of the Social Media Manager
- Attend events to represent SWAP and JENZA in Canada
- Liaise with any local marketing agencies/freelancers in Canada
- Support brand positioning and messaging consistency across all marketing channels in the Canadian market
- Support Google and Meta ad creation, posting and analysis
- Analyze marketing performance metrics and provide insights for optimization
- Alongside Brand Manager, support with strategies for seasonal campaigns
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies for effective campaign execution
Who we’re looking for We value your passion, experience and energy over your educational background. We’re looking for someone who can get stuck in and help us to grow our work abroad brands. You’ll love all things travel and have a sound knowledge of what Gen Z and Gen A want – focused on bringing that experience to life for our audience and customers.
What we imagine you’ll be like...
- Growth-motivated – you’re excited by the challenge of growing a social channel and enjoy seeing the impact of your work.
- Social-first - you're genuinely interested in what’s happening across social media.
- Curious and analytical – you want to understand why something worked, not just whether it worked.
- Naturally creative and confident coming up with new content ideas.
- A strong visual communicator with an excellent eye for design and detail.
- A confident caption writer who knows how to make people stop scrolling.
- Proactive and willing to test, learn and try new things.
- Organised and able to manage multiple pieces of content and deadlines.
- Collaborative and comfortable working with different teams.
- Commercially minded,
with an understanding of how social contributes to wider marketing and business objectives.
- Passionate about travel, culture and creating content that inspires people to experience the world differently.
Bonus points
- Previous experience working in a travel company, have been on a working holiday, or have a strong passion for travelling
- French speaking non-essential, but a plus
